Indonesia Sends Six Representatives to Swiss Open 2026 Quarter-Finals

Indonesian representatives dominated the Round of 16 at the Swiss Open 2026 as six players and pairs from the Red and White secured spots in the Quarter Finals. These results were achieved during matches held at St. Jakobshalle from Thursday, March 12 evening to Friday, March 13 early morning WIB.

The solid performances by Indonesian athletes demonstrated their consistency at this world-level tournament. From singles to mixed doubles, the Red and White overcame opponents from Southeast Asia to East Asia.

The first quarter-final ticket came from Women's Singles through Putri Kusuma Wardani. As the top seed, Putri defeated Malaysia's Wong Ling Ching with a straight-game victory of 21-17, 21-15 in 42 minutes. 

In men's singles, Indonesia sent two representatives to the quarter-finals through Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and Alwi Farhan.

Ginting dominated against Malaysia's Wang Zheng Xing with a two-game victory of 21-15, 21-16 in 46 minutes.

Meanwhile, sixth-seeded Alwi Farhan had to work harder against Singapore's Jia Heng Jason Teh. The match remained tight before Alwi closed with 21-17, 22-20 in 52 minutes.

Indonesia's dominance intensified in mixed doubles with three pairs advancing to the quarter-finals.

Third-seeded pair Jafar Hidayatullah and Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu delivered an impressive performance. They defeated Malaysia's Jimmy Wong and Lai Pei Jing in just 25 minutes with a decisive 21-8, 21-11 score.

Another success came from eighth-seeded pair Amri Syahnawi and Nita Violina Marwah. They endured a three-game battle before overcoming Taiwan's Kuang Heng and Jheng Yu Chieh 21-19, 15-21, 21-17.

Indonesia's final quarter-final ticket belonged to pair Adnan Maulana and Indah Cahya Sari Jamil. They eliminated Taiwan's Yang Po-Hsuan and Hu Ling Fang 16-21, 19-21.

The Swiss Open 2026 quarter-final matches will take place on Friday evening WIB starting at 20:00 WIB.
