A surge in tourists is projected at Ragunan Wildlife Park during Eid al-Fitr holidays in 2026. The legendary zoo in South Jakarta targets around 400,000 visitors throughout the holiday period.

Ragunan has long served as an urban escape for city residents seeking respite from metropolitan bustle.

With its lush tree canopies and spacious walkways, Ragunan offers family-friendly Nature Tourism experiences.

Ragunan Management Unit Head Endah Rumiyati stated their ambitious visitation target is based on this year's Eid holiday duration.

"We've set a target of 400,000 visitors this year, assuming Eid al-Fitr holidays span eight days from March 22 to 29, 2026," Endah Rumiyati confirmed on Friday.

This optimism isn't unfounded. Previous Eid holiday visitation data shows consistent public enthusiasm for spending family time in green open spaces.

In 2025, total visitors during the 14-day Eid period reached 610,416 people, averaging 43,000 daily. These figures serve as the primary reference for this year's tourist flow projections.

Following regional government regulations, Ragunan's operations adhere to specific rules during Eid. The zoo remains closed on the first day of Eid.

This policy references Jakarta Provincial Government Regulation No. 63/2018 governing tourism site management on designated holidays.

"Therefore, Ragunan Wildlife Park Management Unit officially declares readiness to welcome the 2026 Eid holiday tourist surge," Endah stated.

Ahead of Ramadan and Eid, management is beautifying the park with thematic decorations.

These visual enhancements aim to create a festive atmosphere while offering distinctive visitor experiences.

Operating hours information is communicated through Ragunan's official Instagram account. This Tourist Destination remains open during Ramadan from Tuesday-Sunday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Western Indonesia Time.

As one of Southeast Asia's largest zoos, Ragunan houses over 2,009 animals across diverse species.

These collections thrive amid green surroundings supported by 20,000+ trees, transforming the area into an urban micro-forest.

Beyond recreation, Ragunan also serves as an educational space for Younger Generations exploring wildlife diversity.

Many families utilize the Eid holidays to introduce children to Conservation.

Another attraction is the highly affordable tickets: adults pay Rp4,000 while children's tickets cost Rp3,000.
