Two giants of the South Korean League have chosen Bali as their training camp location. Their decision to select Bali solidifies the Island of the Gods as one of Indonesia's cultural-based sports tourism strengths.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) revealed that the two giant Football clubs from the South Korean League are Pohang Steelers and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors Reserves.
According to a written statement from Kemenpora, both teams are undergoing their training camp at facilities owned by Bali United FC at the Bali United Training Center.

11,000 runners joined Kemala Run 2026, the Love Climb becoming the iconic challenge.
The training complex occupies nearly 31 hectares of land and features nine international-standard fields. Yet Bali's appeal extends beyond sports facilities.
The island boasts a global reputation in Tourism. Its beaches, culture, and rice terrace landscapes create an unrivaled natural backdrop.
Bali also offers world-class healthcare facilities like the Bali International Hospital in Sanur.
With BIH's advanced medical treatments, athletes injured during training or competitions in Bali will receive optimal care.
Pohang Steelers Head Coach Tae-ha Park expressed satisfaction after three weeks of training on the 31-hectare site with nine international-standard pitches.
He explained having conducted comparisons before selecting the ideal training location. After evaluating several countries including Thailand and Vietnam, he chose Indonesia.
"After thorough comparison, we decided to train in Indonesia and will likely prioritize Bali United Training Center for future training camps in coming years," he stated.
He noted that beyond adequate training facilities, Bali offers extraordinary natural beauty, rich culture, and numerous football supporters.
This development aligns with Kemenpora's ongoing efforts to advance sports tourism as a driver of national economic growth.
Previously, Youth and Sports Minister Erick Thohir resolved to strengthen Sports Tourism by mapping sports potential across all regions.
"While we're traditionally known for natural tourism attractions, these landscapes can equally serve as sports arenas," he emphasized.
In Bali, this vision materializes vividly. Green pitches merge with tropical skies as athletes train against breathtaking natural panoramas.
