The sea breeze from the coast of North Jakarta carries the fluttering red and gold colors among the recreational gates. For the 2026 Chinese New Year, PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol management targets over 30,000 people to crowd the capital's largest Family Tourism area.

"Today on Chinese New Year, more than 30,000 are estimated to enjoy various events at Ancol Dreamland," said Communication Manager of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk, Daniel Windriatmoko in Jakarta.

This momentum is packaged under the theme "Ancol Lunar Festival" from February 14-17, 2026. The festival isn't merely a celebration, but an orchestration of Chinese culture blending with coastal landscapes, amusement parks, and even a giant aquarium.

At Lagoon Beach, the "Liong & Barongsai Performance" will be held February 15-17 daily at 3:00 PM WIB, featuring serpentine dragon dances following drum rhythms. Meanwhile at Fantasy World (Dufan), Chinese New Year parades and barongsai art appear daily at 3:30 PM WIB, winding through rides bustling with family laughter.

Another unique attraction occurs at Sea World Ancol, where barongsai perform underwater in giant pools twice daily at 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM WIB. At Samudra Ancol, "Animal Chinese New Year Parades" take place at 4:30 PM WIB, while flying barongsai enliven Atlantis. Thematic bird education events are also held at Jakarta Bird Land at 10:00 AM WIB.

To ease access, Ancol implements a one-ticket program for all recreational units priced at Rp150,000. This ticket covers main gates, beaches, Dufan, Sea World Ancol, Samudra, Atlantis, and Jakarta Bird Land, valid from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM WIB.

Public enthusiasm has been visible since the Weekend. Visitor numbers entering Ancol on February 14-16, 2026 reached 74,582 people: 24,664 on Saturday the 14th, 27,989 on Sunday the 15th, and 21,929 on Monday the 16th.

"Today is predicted to be even busier," he concluded.

Targeting 30,000 visitors during peak celebrations, Ancol not only offers seasonal entertainment but strengthens its position as Jakarta's cross-cultural celebration space—where family, tradition, and recreation meet by the sea.
