Arsenal failed to maintain a safe distance at the top of the competition after being held to a 1-1 Draw by Brentford in the continuation of the Premier League 2025/2026 at Gtech Community Stadium early Friday morning WIB. With only one point gained, Arsenal's gap from Manchester City was cut.

The Draw Result felt like two points dropped for The Gunners. They had taken the lead through Noni Madueke in the 61st minute. However, the hosts forced a draw after Keane Lewis-Potter scored in the 71st minute.

The additional point reduced Arsenal's advantage over second-placed Manchester City to four points.

The squad coached by Mikel Arteta has now collected 57 points from 26 matches. Meanwhile, Brentford failed to overtake Liverpool and remains seventh with 40 points.

Playing at home, Brentford showed high discipline. They waited in their defensive area while blocking Arsenal's passing channels. This strategy effectively hindered the visitors' ability to develop their game throughout the first half.

Arsenal increased their attacking intensity after the break. Martin Odegaard's introduction added new dimensions to ball distribution and midfield creativity. Attempts by Noni Madueke and Odegaard began to threaten.

The deadlock was finally broken in the 61st minute. Piero Hincapie's cross met Madueke's header that found the bottom left corner of Brentford's net. Arsenal led 1-0 and appeared on course for victory.

However, the advantage didn't last long. Six minutes later, Brentford equalized through Lewis-Potter's strike past David Raya, making it 1-1.

The 1-1 scoreline held until full-time. For Arsenal, this result wasn't just a draw but a warning that their pursuit of the 2025/2026 Premier League title isn't entirely under control.
