For decades, Saudi Arabia's Red Sea has been known primarily as a trade route and strategic geopolitical area. Now, that coastline is gradually transforming into a symbol of a new era of world-class Tourism, blending luxury, tranquility, and sustainability.

This transformation gained international spotlight after global Football Megastar Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodríguez purchased Luxury Property in one of the world’s most exclusive Tourist Destinations, Saudi Arabia's Red Sea region.

Ronaldo’s move isn’t merely a celebrity property transaction, but a cultural marker signifying the Red Sea area has officially entered the radar of elite global destinations, now paralleling the Maldives, Bora-Bora, or Seychelles.

According to Al Arabiya English, tourism developer Red Sea Global (RSG) announced Ronaldo and Georgina purchased two ultra-luxury villas at Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve Residence on Saudi Arabia’s west coast.

A Private Island Amid Solitude

Nujuma isn’t an ordinary resort but part of Red Sea Residences. This collection of super-exclusive residences offers not just vacations, but a private island living experience.

Nujuma consists of 19 private villas. All stand on natural White Sand surrounded by clear waters, located nearly 26 kilometers from the mainland.

Its remoteness is precisely its core luxury. Access requires chartered boats or amphibious aircraft. For Ronaldo, this isn’t merely a new destination—it’s a space to slow down.

Ronaldo and Georgina have reportedly visited the Red Sea area multiple times since its first resort opened to the public.

The two villas purchased by the couple reflect a design philosophy merging family functionality with private exclusivity.

They include one three-bedroom unit designed for Family Activities, and a more private two-bedroom villa for exclusive short stays.

British media estimate the total value of both properties at £7 million, approximately £3.5 million per unit—a figure hardly troubling for Ronaldo after signing a £492 million two-year contract with Al-Nassr last summer.

When Celebrities Become Destination Compasses

In modern tourism history, public figures have often catalyzed new icons like St. Barts, Tulum, or Portofino. Now, Nujuma and the Red Sea region are treading a similar path.

Ronaldo’s villa purchase doesn’t just expand an athlete’s personal assets—it shifts global perceptions of where elite tourism is heading next.

In Nujuma’s white sands, a new world luxury is born. Not from city lights, but from blue seas, silent desert winds, and the vision that tourism’s future can remain beautiful without sacrificing nature.
