An aroma of competition and brotherhood mingles in the air of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. From November 7-21, 2025, the city becomes the stage for the Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG). ISG is a sporting event bringing together athletes from OIC (Organisation of Islamic Cooperation) member countries.

Imagine dusty fields now gleaming under stadium lights, flags from the Middle East to Southeast Asia dancing in the wind, and a spirit felt not only about victory but also unity.

This year, Indonesia sends its 39 finest athletes. They will compete in seven sports disciplines, with pencak silat as one of the most anticipated exhibition events. For there, our culture resonates loudest amid thousands of cheering spectators.

Indeed, this Red and White squad hasn't arrived at full strength. Some athletes are focused on preparing for the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand. Yet at ISG, every step still matters—here, sports transcend physical rivalry to showcase harmony among nations.

And who knows? From Riyadh, we may yet hear Indonesia Raya resounding, slipping into the Arabian night sky before returning home to our hearts in the homeland.
