Liverpool knocked out as five Premier League teams advance to Carabao Cup quarter-finals.

Crystal Palace appears to be Liverpool's bogey team. After defeating Liverpool in the Premier League, Palace has now eliminated The Reds from the 2025 English League Cup on Thursday, October 30 early morning WIB.
Palace secured a convincing 3-0 win at Anfield Stadium, Liverpool's home ground. The winning goals were scored by Ismaila Sarr (two goals) and Yeremy Pino, securing their place in the quarter-finals.
Despite controlling 59 percent possession, Liverpool failed to capitalize on opportunities and were reduced to 10 men after Amara Niallo received a red card in the 79th minute. Palace proved more effective with 14 shots, eight of which were on target.

Prior to the match, Liverpool manager Arne Slot had actually warned his team to be wary of Crystal Palace. This season, Liverpool has lost twice to Palace in the Community Shield and Premier League.
"We must recognize not only the problems they can create but also their ability to fight until the final whistle," Slot stated on Liverpool's website on Wednesday.
Slot's concerns have now materialized into bitter reality. Liverpool follows Manchester United, which was earlier eliminated from the English League Cup.
Meanwhile, several other top teams advanced smoothly to the quarter-finals. Arsenal defeated Brighton 2-0 through goals from Ethan Nwaneri and Bukayo Saka at Emirates Stadium.
Another London club, Chelsea, also secured victory. The Blues eliminated Wolves with a narrow 4-3 win at Molineux Stadium, courtesy of goals from Andrey Santos, Tyrique George, Estavo, and Jamie Gittens.
Manchester City won 3-1 against Swansea City. The Citizens' goals were scored by Jeremy Doku, Omar Marmoush, and Rayan Cherki.
These results mean Crystal Palace, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Newcastle are the Premier League teams confirming their progression to the 2025 EFL Cup quarter-finals.
