Jafar/Felisha's Ranking Drops, Indonesia Has No Representatives in the World's Top 10 Mixed Doubles List

Indonesia does not yet have any representatives in the world's top 10 mixed doubles rankings according to the latest Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings released for the 31st week. Chinese pair Feng Yan Zhe/Huang Dong Ping occupy the top position. 

This situation highlights the major challenge faced by Indonesia's mixed doubles sector to return to competitive form at the elite global level.

Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu remain Indonesia's highest ranked mixed doubles pair. However, they dropped two positions to 13th place in the world after collecting 53,250 points.

This drop was directly related to Jafar/Felisha's absence from two prestigious East Asian tournaments, the Japan Open and 2026 China Open. 

The pair were forced to withdraw as Felisha's ankle injury had not fully recovered, causing them to miss the opportunity to accumulate critical ranking points.

Amri Syahnawi/Nita Violina Marwah also fell four positions to 20th place globally with 47,790 points.

Underwhelming results at the China Open were one of the contributing factors. Amri/Nita were eliminated in the first round after losing in straight games 13-21, 16-21 against Thai pair Dechapol Puavaranukroh/Supissara Paewsampran.

Against this overall downward trend, Marwan Faza/Aisyah Salsabila Putri Pranata recorded an improvement. They climbed one position to 23rd in the world with 44,460 points.

Adnan Maulana/Indah Cahya Sari Jamil also moved up to 24th place globally with 44,290 points. With only a 170 point gap between the two pairs, internal competition among Indonesian mixed doubles pairs is becoming increasingly tight.

Meanwhile, the now disbanded pair Dejan Ferdinansyah/Bernadine Anindya Wardana dropped one position to 30th place with 40,060 points.

Bobby Setiabudi/Melati Daeva Oktavianti fell two rankings to 39th place globally with 36,130 points.

The sharpest drop was suffered by Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja. This pair plummeted 13 positions to 95th place in the world with 16,100 points.

At the global level, China continues its dominance. Feng Yan Zhe/Huang Dong Ping remain firmly at the top of the BWF rankings with 106,500 points.

Second place is still held by Jiang Zhen Bang/Wei Ya Xin with 90,850 points, followed by Danish pair Jesper Toft Christiansen/Amalie Magelund Boje in third place with 89,270 points.

Thai pair Dechapol Puavaranukroh/Supissara Paewsampran sit in fourth position with 87,670 points, while France's Thom Gicquel/Delphine Delrue complete the top five with 82,200 points.

2026 China Open champions Guo Xin Wa/Chen Fang Hui hold on to sixth place globally with 82,070 points, only 130 points behind the French pair in fifth position.
