A perfect night at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api. Persib Bandung displayed dominance and efficiency as they defeated Selangor FC 2-0 in the Group G continuation match of the AFC Champions League Two (ACL 2) 2025/2026 season on Thursday night, October 23, 2025.

This victory solidifies Maung Bandung's position at the top of the provisional standings with 7 points, one point ahead of Bangkok United in second place.

Meanwhile, Lion City Sailors trail in third place with four points, while Selangor FC remain without points at the bottom of the standings.

Adam Alis' Early Goal Opens Victory Floodgates

From the first minute, Bojan Hodak's squad showed aggression in front of thousands of Bobotoh supporters. The first golden opportunity came in the 12th minute when Uilliam Barros performed a stunning individual move, but his shot was still parried by Selangor's goalkeeper.

The GBLA crowd finally erupted in the 30th minute. A swift counterattack orchestrated by Marc Klok was successfully finished by Adam Alis to give Persib a 1-0 lead.

Three minutes later, Barros threatened again with a powerful long-range strike, though the ball narrowly missed the right side of the opponent's goal.

Teja Paku Alam Becomes Impenetrable Wall

Trailing by one goal, Selangor attempted to fight back. Alvin Fortes posed a threat in the 55th minute after dribbling past five Persib players. However, Teja Paku Alam displayed extraordinary reflexes to parry the ball.

Persib's disciplined defense frustrated Selangor throughout the second half. The Matricardi-Barba duo effectively neutralized the visitors' attacks.

Andrew Jung Seals Victory from the Penalty Spot

Persib's second goal came in the 65th minute through a penalty kick after Federico Barba was fouled in the box.

Andrew Jung stepped up as executor and successfully beat Selangor's goalkeeper to double the lead to 2-0.

Near the end of the match, Ramon Tanque almost added another goal, but his effort was blocked by a Selangor defender. Until the final whistle, Persib closed the match with a clean victory without conceding.

This result gives Persib three crucial points and maintains their strong chance to advance to the ACL 2 knockout stage.
