2026 World Cup does not only showcase battles between teams, but also duels between key players. In Group B, attention is focused on two strikers of different generations and playing styles: Bosnia-Herzegovina forward Edin Dzeko and Canada's Jonathan David.
The finishing sharpness of both players will be tested in the race for qualification spots to the Round of 32.
Group B is made up of Switzerland, Canada, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Qatar. Under the new tournament format that allows three teams to advance to the knockout stage, all four nations will compete fiercely right until the final matchday.

Canada has placed huge hopes on Jonathan David. The 26-year-old Juventus striker has developed into one of Canada's leading goal threats.
David arrives at this World Cup with an impressive record of 39 goals from 76 appearances for the Canadian national team. This statistic makes him one of the most prolific forwards across the CONCACAF region, as well as the primary attacking focal point for Jesse Marsch's squad.
He will be supported by high-calibre teammates including Alphonso Davies, Tajon Buchanan, and Stephen Eustaquio. His pace, intelligent off-ball movement and clinical finishing will serve as Canada's main weapons against their Group B opponents.
Meanwhile, Bosnia-Herzegovina continues to rely on veteran figure Edin Dzeko. Even at 40 years of age, the former Manchester City, AS Roma and Inter Milan striker remains the central figure and undisputed leader within the squad.
Dzeko's vast experience competing at the top level of European Football ensures his presence remains invaluable. He is not only a goalscorer, but also the figure that lifts team morale during high-pressure major matches.
His record of 73 goals from 148 international caps makes Dzeko the all-time top goalscorer in Bosnia-Herzegovina history. This achievement reflects the enormous contribution he has made to his country's Football Development over the past two decades.
The matchup between Jonathan David and Edin Dzeko will be a compelling encounter. David represents the new generation operating at peak physical form, while Dzeko stands as a battle-proven symbol of major tournament experience.
Dzeko and David are not the only attacking threats in Group B. Qatar possess sharp forward Almoez Ali, who has registered 60 goals from 126 international matches. His partnership with Akram Afif forms the main attacking strength for the former Asian champions.
For their part, Switzerland will rely on the leadership of Granit Xhaka. While the 33-year-old midfielder is not a striker, his commanding influence in the centre of the pitch is consistently the key driver for Switzerland's victories.
