Venezuelan padel athlete Jessica Lucinda Palma Cruz has expressed appreciation for the development of padel as a sport in Indonesia. According to her, the quality of tournament organisation supported by the Indonesian Padel National Governing Body (PBPI) demonstrates rapid progress, and has successfully delivered a positive experience for both local and international athletes.

Jessica shared these impressions after competing in the FIP Bronze Banten 2026 professional tournament, which was held at Dewa United Padel, Tangerang, Banten from 13 to 19 July 2026.

"I really love this club and how the event is run. I enjoyed every moment I spent here with my teammates, both on and off the court. Everything has been wonderful," Jessica stated in Tangerang, Banten on Sunday, 19 July 2026.

Alongside praising the quality of the tournament execution, Jessica also highlighted the critical role PBPI plays in supporting athletes, especially participants travelling from overseas.

She pointed out that streamlined administrative processes, from visa arrangements to immigration support services, are a major added value that allows international athletes to feel comfortable competing in Indonesia.

"In my opinion the federation is doing outstanding work. From my personal experience, they provided extremely helpful assistance with visas, the full administrative process, and immigration matters. This makes everything far easier for players travelling from abroad," she explained.

Jessica also stated she thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere at FIP Bronze Banten 2026. She noted that tournament management operated smoothly, and the warm, familial dynamic built between athletes and event organisers was one of the factors that made her competing experience particularly memorable.

"This makes everything so much better for players coming from outside the country," she added.

Beyond praising the tournament organisation, Jessica also observed significant improvement in the competitive standard of Indonesian padel athletes.

She assessed that Indonesian players continue to demonstrate consistent performance progress at every tournament, giving them strong potential to compete at elite international level.

"At every event they perform excellently, their standard of play is genuinely very high right now. This is an extremely positive development for this country," she remarked.

Jessica also expressed that she was impressed by the high level of public enthusiasm for padel across Indonesia. Strong spectator support, she noted, is a critical foundation for the long term growth of the sport.

With the growing number of dedicated padel facilities being constructed and rising public participation, she is optimistic that the sport will develop even faster across Indonesia in the coming years.

"I believe they have very talented players here. They are improving and developing at a really rapid pace," she stated.

FIP Bronze Banten 2026 was successfully hosted at Dewa United Padel, Tangerang, Banten between 13 and 19 July 2026. Sanctioned under the International Padel Federation (FIP), this tournament featured entries from 34 women's pairs and 108 men's pairs, and stands as one of the key international events strengthening the growth of Indonesia's national padel ecosystem.
