Layvin Kurzawa's tenure with Persib Bandung has officially ended. The French defender who previously represented Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) announced his departure following the conclusion of the 2025/2026 BRI Super League tournament.

Kurzawa shared this news via a social media post. In his farewell message, the 33-year-old player expressed gratitude to Bobotoh (Persib supporters), his teammates, and every part of the club that accompanied his journey during his time in Bandung.

"I respect the club's decision, and I leave with full gratitude for every moment we have gone through together," stated Kurzawa.

Even though he only spent approximately five months with Persib, Kurzawa said he gained unforgettable experiences during his professional spell in Indonesia.

The former French National Team player encountered a distinct Football atmosphere that left a deep, lasting mark on his professional career.

For Kurzawa, it was not only the club that made him feel comfortable - he also highlighted the warm welcome from the Indonesian public and the extraordinary support from Persib fans at every single match.

"I found an incredible country, a club full of passion, and amazing supporters who made me feel welcomed from my very first day here," he said.

Kurzawa's arrival was one of the most talked-about transfer moves in Indonesian Football. With his experience competing at elite European level with PSG, Bobotoh had expected Kurzawa to deliver major contributions to Maung Bandung's defensive line.

Despite his relatively short contract period, Kurzawa expressed pride at having been part of one of Indonesia's biggest clubs. He stated he enjoyed every moment with Persib, both on and off the pitch.

"I am proud to have worn this jersey, shared all those emotions with you, and been part of the big Persib family - even if only for a short time," he said.

This departure was also marked by an emotional message dedicated to Bobotoh. Kurzawa thanked the fans for their constant support during his time representing Persib, and expressed hope that the good bond built between them will not be broken despite this separation.

"Thank you for all the support, love and energy you have given. I hope our paths will cross again one day. I love you all, Bobotoh," he said.

Even with only five months wearing Persib colours, Kurzawa's presence will remain part of Maung Bandung's journey during the 2025/2026 Season.

Attention from Bobotoh will now shift to Persib's next steps as the club assembles its squad for the upcoming new season.
