The race for Champions League spots in Serie A is heating up as the season nears its end. After Inter Milan secured the scudetto in week 35 and locked up one spot, the three remaining slots are now being contested by Napoli, AC Milan, Juventus, AS Roma, and Como.
AS Roma emerged as a serious contender after a 4-0 goal fest against Fiorentina at the Stadio Olimpico early Tuesday morning WIB.
The team coached by Gian Piero Gasperini dominated play from the start, sending a clear message to rivals that the Giallorossi are ready to seize a Champions League ticket.

Roma took the lead in the 13th minute through Gianluca Mancini's header, capitalizing on Niccolo Pisilli's corner kick.
Just four minutes later, the advantage increased with a goal from Wesley after receiving a pass from Mario Hermoso.
Relentless pressure made it difficult for Fiorentina to escape Roma's grip. Roma extended their lead in the 34th minute when Hermoso also got his name on the scoresheet, ending the first half with a commanding 3-0 lead.
In the second half, Roma's dominance didn't waver. Pisilli increased the lead to 4-0 in the 58th minute with another header, securing an absolute victory over La Viola and reinforcing the capital club's ambitions.
The additional three points lifted Roma to fifth place in the provisional Standings with 64 points, just one point behind Juventus who sit at the cutoff for the Champions League zone.
This momentum feels even more significant after Juventus only managed a 1-1 draw against Hellas Verona at the Allianz Stadium. Kieron Bowie's goal initially put Verona ahead before Dusan Vlahovic equalized.
Roma's progress also directly impacts other competitors. Como dropped down the table after a goalless draw against visiting Napoli, while AC Milan failed to maintain momentum following a 0-2 defeat to Sassuolo, the club featuring Indonesian National Team defender Jay Idzes.
With just one point separating them from the Champions League zone, Roma is firmly on the hot track in the pursuit of European tickets. If this consistency holds, the Giallorossi aren't just contenders. They could become the decisive factor in this season's final Serie A standings.
