Bali United FC coach Johnny Jansen acknowledged that Persib Bandung is a strong candidate to win the BRI Super League 2025/2026. However, he emphasized his team will still pursue victory when visiting Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (GBLA) on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 19:00 WIB.
Bali United arrives with a mission to steal full points while putting pressure on Persib, who currently lead the Standings and could win back-to-back titles.
"Persib is currently top-ranked and this season's championship favorite. But for this match, hopefully we can get three points to create pressure on them," said Jansen, quoted from the official I.League website on Sunday.

Jansen recognizes the major challenge awaiting his team. Persib has a perfect home record this season with 13 wins from 13 matches. Nevertheless, Bali United remains confident due to their impressive recent performances.
The resounding 6-1 victory over PSBS Biak serves as crucial capital for Serdadu Tridatu. In their last three matches, Bali United has scored 10 goals, demonstrating their attacking sharpness.
"Our preparations have been good so far without obstacles. Especially after our big win last match, that factor brings confidence ahead of facing Persib Bandung. Hopefully we can deliver the best result," stated the Dutch Coach.
Team captain Ricky Fajrin echoed similar sentiments. He confirmed the squad is fully prepared for this important match.
"All players are in good condition and team morale is high. Hopefully the match against Persib Bandung yields positive results," revealed Ricky.
Beyond focusing on the game, Ricky also highlighted the still-open title race this season. He believes championship opportunities exist not only for Persib but also other teams like Borneo FC Samarinda and Persija Jakarta.
"But the competition is still long, many possibilities could happen. Maybe Persib or perhaps other teams could become champions by the season's end," he added.
With dwindling matches remaining, the Persib versus Bali United clash is predicted to be a decisive fixture in this season's title pursuit.
