Persija Jakarta suffered a dramatic 2-3 defeat while visiting the home ground of Bhayangkara FC in the Super League continuation. Playing at Sumpah Pemuda Stadium on Sunday, April 5, 2026, the Kemayoran Tigers lost momentum after playing with 10 men since the start of the second half.

Persija immediately played aggressively from the opening whistle. Just one minute into the match, Rayhan Hanan successfully opened the scoring. An accurate cross from Allano was met with a sharp header that the Bhayangkara defense couldn't stop.

The early deficit forced the hosts to increase their attacking intensity. The result showed in the 28th minute when Moussa Sidibe managed to equalize. His close-range shot successfully deceived Persija goalkeeper, Cyrus Margono. The 1-1 score held until halftime.

Entering the second half, the situation changed drastically for Persija. In the 48th minute, Jordi Amat was shown a second yellow card after fouling TM Ichsan, forcing the visiting team to play with 10 men.

Despite being a man down, Persija managed to take the lead again. Fabio Calonego's free kick in the 61st minute flew powerfully into the Bhayangkara FC net, changing the score to 2-1.

Bhayangkara FC maximized their numerical advantage. The team coached by Paul Munster kept pressing and finally equalized in the 85th minute through a goal by Dendy Sulistyawan.

The drama wasn't over. During injury time, Moussa Sidibe put his name on the scoresheet again. He capitalized on a precise pass from I Putu Gede Juni Antara to secure a 3-2 victory for Bhayangkara FC.

This result keeps Persija in third place in the standings with 52 points. However, the capital team's performance is declining after failing to win in their last three matches, including a Draw Result against Dewa United and Borneo FC.

Meanwhile, Bhayangkara FC continues its positive trend with six consecutive victories. The team strengthened by Ilija Spasojevic now occupies fifth place in the standings with 44 points.
