A total of 146,564 tourists visited 20 destinations in Bandung Regency Tourism, West Java during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr Holiday period from March 18-24. Kawah Putih became one of the main tourist destinations during the Eid holiday.
Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf), Wawan A. Ridwan, stated that visits to these 20 destinations were dominated by Domestic Tourists, including 906 Foreign Tourists.
He explained that Tourist Destinations in the Pacira area of South Bandung and North Bandung remained primary destinations during the Eid holiday.

Bandung Zoo is planned to offer free admission during Eid.
"Several leading destinations such as Kawah Putih recorded 44,000 visits, Tahura 24,000, and Glamping Patengan around 15,000 tourists," he said.
This data from Disparekraf reflects How Kawah Putih remains an irreplaceable icon. The changing colors of the crater water, dry trees framing the lake edge, and thin mountain air create a visual experience distinct from other tropical destinations in Indonesia.
Disparekraf recorded 227,809 vehicles entering Bandung Regency through the Soreang Toll Gate during this period, reflecting massive tourist flows toward the southern region.
"This vehicle volume is quite high and triggered congestion, especially in the Pacira area which became the densest point," he stated.
Beyond main routes, vehicle movement also spread to alternative routes toward tourist areas, particularly toward Pangalengan and North Bandung.
Bandung Regency Disparekraf stated it will continue improving tourism services by managing visitor and vehicle flows, including regulating congestion points and managing tourist destinations during holiday periods.
