A human wave flowed toward the Nusantara Capital City during the 2026 Idul Fitri Holiday. Between March 18th and 29th, hundreds of thousands of visitors were recorded entering the area, with 80,105 vehicles traversing IKN's roads.
The Nusantara Core Government Area (KIPP) became the main magnet. Here, visitors not only witnessed the construction of the new capital but also experienced the public spaces designed as the future face of Indonesia.
"During the visiting period, the IKN State Palace area and the IKN State Mosque were the most crowded areas for visitors within the Nusantara KIPP," said Troy Pantouw, Special Staff to the Head of the IKN Authority for Public Communication and Spokesperson for the IKN Authority, in Nusantara, on Tuesday.

Tourists came not just to see, but also to feel the atmosphere of a capital city still in the process of being born.
Yet IKN isn't just about government buildings. On another side of the area, the Tourism experience evolves in a more fluid form, blending with nature.
The Sepaku Semoi Dam offers serene water panoramas, while the IKN Glass Bridge in the glamping area provides the sensation of walking on transparency against a backdrop of tropical forest.

"The Ceremony Plaza and Bhinneka Plaza have become the centers of community activity, supported by various culinary facilities, public interaction spaces, and increasingly diverse entertainment and social offerings," he said.
At the Nusantara Ceremony Plaza and Nusantara Bhinneka Plaza, the crowds felt more vibrant. The aroma of food, conversations among visitors, and entertainment performances created an urban atmosphere contrasting with the surrounding forest—a picture of an inclusive future city.
Not far away, the IKN Mass Center became a bustling educational space. Inside, visitors found a mini theater, construction mock-ups, and even a mini control center, presenting a comprehensive picture of How this capital is being designed and built.
Behind this surge in visits, the IKN Authority ensured the tourism experience continued to run smoothly.
Optimal service for visitors was supported by the Community Visit Service Team during the Extended Holiday period.
