Amid BETWEEN the curves of cliffs and the flow of a calm river, Way Tebing Cepa transformed into a meeting space for humans and nature during Eid al-Fitr 2026. In the first two days of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri, this Bathing Tourist Attraction was packed with visitors.
Located in Taman Baru Village, Penengahan District, South Lampung, Way Tebing Cepa offers a dramatic landscape. Steep cliffs stand firmly facing the Way Tebing Cepa River, along with preserved rocks and vegetation.
Visitors can find space to breathe deeply, enjoy the silence, contrasting with the city's hustle and bustle.

The activities offered are not merely recreational, but an experience of merging with nature.
Hiking, trekking, to camping become ways for tourists to explore every corner of the area. Feeling nature's rhythm moving slower, yet full of meaning.
For some, the journey to this place has become an annual ritual. Zildawati, one visitor, simply described this emotional connection.
“Since we're homecoming to Lampung, WTC (Way Tebing Cepa) is our family's favorite place to vacation and gather together,” she said.
She added that Way Tebing Cepa's appeal lies not only in its visual beauty but also in its accessibility, making it inclusive for all groups.
"This bathing spot has long been sought after by tourists due to its unquestionable natural beauty and very easy access to the location," she stated.
According to the Head of the South Lampung Tourism and Culture Office, I Nyoman Setiawan, this phenomenon of crowded visits reflects the typical social dynamics during Eid: the movement of people from cities to regions, from routines to natural spaces.
“During the Eid al-Fitr Holiday, tourist attractions in South Lampung are crowded with visitors. This reflects the high mobility of the community during the Eid holiday,” he said.
Interestingly, the flow of visitors isn't only from South Lampung. They come from surrounding areas to other provinces, bringing their own travel stories and making this area a meeting point for diverse backgrounds.
Amid this surge, efforts to maintain the balance BETWEEN comfort and safety are a primary concern.
Supporting facilities like service posts are prepared at various points, ensuring the tourist experience remains safe and controlled.
The Head of the South Lampung Police Water and Air Unit (Polairud), IPTU Panpan Hermayadi, emphasized the importance of shared awareness in maintaining safety while Traveling.
“We also ask parents to always supervise their children, ensuring they are not out of sight,” he said.
Visitors are also advised to respect nature's boundaries, not force swimming outside safe areas, and always pay attention to weather conditions before activities.
“If an emergency occurs or police assistance is needed, the public can immediately contact the 24-hour active call center at 110,” he stated.
Amid the strong currents of Eid journeys, Way Tebing Cepa becomes more than just a destination. It is a space where humans return to nature, celebrate togetherness, and find a pause within the long journey back to their roots.
