Indonesia has confirmed its full strength by fielding 17 representatives at the 2026 Badminton Asia Championships to be held in Ningbo, China, from April 7–12. This tournament serves as a crucial platform for the Indonesian shuttlers to showcase their skills at the Asian level.

According to an official release from Badminton Asia, the doubles sectors form the backbone of Indonesia's strength. Each of the men's doubles, Women's Doubles, and mixed doubles events features four pairs. Meanwhile, the singles sectors are bolstered by three men's players and two women's players.

In the men's singles sector, Jonatan Christie and Alwi Farhan have secured direct entry into the main draw. Meanwhile, Moh Zaki Ubaidillah must start from the qualifying phase.

In the Women's Singles, Putri Kusuma Wardani also competes directly in the main draw. While Thalita Ramadhani Wiryawan must battle through the qualifying rounds to secure a ticket to the main phase.

The tournament format sets 40 singles players, with the 28 highest-ranked players entering directly into the round of 32. The remaining 12 players must go through qualification to compete for the four remaining spots in each sector.

On another note, there have been some changes to the team composition. The men's doubles pair Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana and the women's doubles pair Siti Sarah Azzahra/Az Zahra Ditya Ramadhani have confirmed their withdrawal from the tournament as of March 16, 2026.
