Towards FIFA Series 2026: 41 Indonesian National Team Players Called Up by John Herdman

The Indonesian National Team has officially released a list of 41 players called up by head coach John Herdman for the training camp ahead of the FIFA Series 2026. This tournament is scheduled to take place from March 23 to 31, 2026, at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium, Jakarta.

In an X post on Monday, the Indonesian National Team stated that five players were called up as goalkeepers: Maarten Paes, Emil Audero, Nadeo Argawinata, Cahya Supriadi, and Ernando Ari.

Meanwhile, the defense sector is filled by 12 names projected to strengthen the Garuda squad's backline. They are Jay Idzes, Kevin Diks, Dean James, Elkan Baggott, Justin Hubner, Nathan Tjoe-A-On, Dony Tri Pamungkas, Rizky Ridho, Sandy Walsh, Fajar Fathurrahman, Muhammad Ferrari, and Yance Sayuri.

In midfield, Herdman called up 13 players who will be the engine of the Indonesian National Team's play. They consist of Calvin Verdonk, Joey Pelupessy, Eliano Reijnders, Ivar Jenner, Jordi Amat, Marc Klok, Ricky Kambuaya, Witan Sulaeman, Egy Maulana Vikri, Tim Geypens, Arkhan Fikri, Ezra Walian, and Victor Dethan.

As for the attack sector, it is filled by 11 players prepared to add firepower to Garuda. These names include Miliano Jonathans, Ole Romeny, Ragnar Oratmangoen, Beckham Putra, Mauro Zijlstra, Ramadhan Sananta, Yakob Sayuri, Adrian Wibowo, Hokky Caraka, Jens Raven, and Stefano Lilipaly.

Although 41 players have been called up, this list is still provisional. John Herdman and the coaching staff will conduct further selection before determining the final squad for the FIFA Series 2026.

In the tournament, Indonesia will act as the host. The Garuda team is scheduled to play their opening match against Saint Kitts and Nevis on March 27 at 20:00 WIB at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.

On the same day, Bulgaria will face the Solomon Islands in a match starting at 15:30 WIB.

The winners of these two matches will meet in the final on March 30 at 20:00 WIB. Meanwhile, the two losing teams will compete for third place on the same day at 15:30 WIB.
