Layvin Kurzawa is preparing to begin a new chapter in his career. The new wing-back of Persib Bandung emphasized his high ambitions ahead of his potential debut with Maung Bandung. He targets victory against Ratchaburi in the first leg of the Round of 16 of the AFC Champions League (ACL) II at Ratchaburi Stadium, Na Muang, on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.

Brought in with European experience, Kurzawa sets high standards. Quoted from the club's official website, the French player is ready to give his best performance so Persib can achieve maximum results.

"(Our target) is to win this match, display a strong mentality, and keep a clean sheet. We aim to score goals according to our game plan," said Kurzawa.

Despite his short adaptation period, Kurzawa is among the players coach Bojan Hodak brought to Thailand.

The former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) player also stressed he doesn't underestimate the opponent. Although not fully understanding Ratchaburi's strength yet, Kurzawa acknowledges the match won't be easy.

His assessment is based on Ratchaburi's achievement of advancing to this season's ACL II Round of 16.

"We'll see. We'll strive to give our best in this match," Kurzawa stated.

This match could mark the 33-year-old's debut with Persib Bandung after being signed during the mid-season transfer window.

This moment also presents an opportunity for Kurzawa to prove he can still compete at the Asian competition level.

Before joining Bandung, Kurzawa played for Boavista in the Portuguese League. However, injuries plagued that period, limiting his playing time.

Now, with Persib, Kurzawa aims to rediscover his rhythm and make tangible contributions to his new club.
