Real Madrid president Florentino Perez held a special meeting with approximately 500 Los Blancos supporters in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday, January 11, 2026, local time. This agenda took place ahead of the prestigious El Clasico match against Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final scheduled for Monday, January 12, 2026, early morning WIB.

Addressing Madrid supporters filling the event, Perez emphasized the crucial role of fans in boosting the players' morale and fighting spirit. He stated the presence and support of fans provide extra energy for Xabi Alonso's squad.

"We gather here for the Spanish Super Cup final. I want you to know the players feel your spirit and strength. They will give everything for your happiness," Perez told his team's supporters on Real Madrid's official website.

Perez expressed being impressed by Real Madrid supporters' extraordinary enthusiasm, especially since the final was held far from Spain. He considered this massive support reflects Madrid's position as a global club with a cross-national fanbase.

The 78-year-old stated Real Madrid has evolved into a unifying symbol for millions worldwide from diverse backgrounds.

"Madrid unites millions across every corner of the world, transcending origins, nationality, language, religion, ideology and culture," he said.

Furthermore, Perez invited all supporters to provide full backing and create a festive atmosphere when Real Madrid faces Barcelona at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, Jeddah. He hoped the energy from the stands could become the decisive factor in the Classic Duel reuniting these two Spanish giants.

In this final, Real Madrid aims for the Spanish Super Cup trophy they last won in the 2024 edition. Historically, Madrid has collected 13 tournament titles, still trailing Barcelona's record 15 trophies.

This final also marks the fourth consecutive meeting between Real Madrid and Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup, cementing both clubs' dominance in the competition in recent years.

The Spanish Super Cup is being held in Saudi Arabia for the sixth time since 2020. In the previous five editions, Real Madrid dominated with three titles (2020, 2022, 2024), while Barcelona won twice (2023, 2025), and Athletic Club became champions once (2021).
