Mohamed Salah has cemented his status as an icon of African Football. The Liverpool star recently surpassed Didier Drogba's Goal Record to become the fourth-highest African goalscorer of all time.

Salah is currently competing with the Egyptian National Team at AFCON 2025. He will lead Egypt in the Africa Cup quarterfinals after eliminating Benin 3-1 in extra time.

In the all-time African international goalscorers list, Mohamed Salah has overtaken former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba (Ivory Coast). Salah now has 66 goals, one more than Drogba.

This tally places Salah fourth, just below another Egyptian legend Hossam Hassan (69 goals). Hassan remains Egypt's all-time top scorer.

Above them, two other names lead Africa's all-time scoring charts.

Zambia's Godfrey Chitalu tops the list with 79 goals, followed by Kinnah Phiri (Malawi) in second with 71 goals.

Salah requires 14 more goals to reach 80 and surpass Chitalu's record.

With his competitive age and central role in Egypt's squad, Salah's path to the summit remains open.

Since his 2011 debut, Salah has been pivotal for The Pharaohs in international competitions.

From his debut over a decade ago to now leading Egypt through crucial tournament stages, Salah isn't just chasing goals – he's pursuing African Football history's pinnacle.
