Persija Jakarta has finally rediscovered their best form. Playing at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta, The Kemayoran Tigers delivered a dominant performance, convincingly defeating Bhayangkara FC 3-0 in the postponed BRI Super League 2025/2026 match on Monday evening, December 30, 2025.

This victory signals a crucial resurgence for Persija after a period of inconsistency in recent weeks. The additional three points propelled Thomas Doll's team up to third place in the provisional Standings with 32 points. Conversely, Bhayangkara FC suffered their sixth defeat of the season and remain stuck in 10th place with 12 points.

From the opening minutes, Persija showed clear intent to control the match. Their ball possession dominance combined with high pressure forced Bhayangkara to defend deep in their own area. The first chance came via an Allano de Souza shot, though the ball went wide. Another opportunity followed from Eksel Runtukahu, but goalkeeper Aqil Savik reacted smartly to parry the ball.

Bhayangkara FC didn't stay idle. Relying on aggressive play and physical duels, the visitors tried to disrupt Persija's attacking flow. Their best chance of the first half came from a Moises Wolschick cross met by Ryan Kurnia's header, but the ball drifted just wide of the Persija goal.

Despite their superiority in play, Persija struggled to penetrate Bhayangkara's tight defense. Maxwell and Fabio Calonego tried their luck from medium range several times, but these attempts were thwarted by Bhayangkara's backline and goalkeeper.

The deadlock was finally broken during first-half Injury time. Eksel Runtukahu made a rapid penetration into the penalty box before being fouled by Nehar Sadiki. Referee Thoriq Alkatiri immediately pointed to the spot. Allano de Souza stepped up as the executor and converted the penalty perfectly, sending Persija into the break with a 1-0 lead.

Entering the second half, Bhayangkara tried to increase their attacking intensity. However, this approach opened up space for Persija to launch dangerous counter-attacks. A golden opportunity arose again through a low cross by Dony Tri Pamungkas, though Aqil Savik once more rescued the visiting team.

Persija maintained the pressure and eventually doubled their lead in the 62nd minute. A Bruno Tubarao cross resulted in disaster for Bhayangkara as the ball deflected off I Putu Gede's foot and into his own net. This own goal further dented the visitors' morale.

The two-goal advantage didn't slow Persija down. Center-back Jordi Amat, pushing forward to support the attack, scored the third goal in the 78th minute with a powerful shot from outside the penalty box. The ball flew fiercely past a helpless Aqil Savik, sealing a resounding 3-0 victory for The Kemayoran Tigers.

Until the final whistle, Persija maintained control of the match. This result is not only crucial for the points gained but also serves as proof of Persija's increasingly mature and solid gameplay, both in attacking and defensive transitions.
