Christmas and New Year holidays (Nataru) don't always have to be synonymous with long trips and big expenses. In Depok City, this moment actually opens up opportunities to re-explore spaces near home.

Nataru holidays are the perfect moment to gather with family and unwind from routine.

Residents don't need to go far because Depok City offers various choices of family-friendly Tourist Destinations.

Head of the Depok City Youth, Sports, Tourism, and Culture Office (Disporyata), Eko Herwiyanto, recommends six simple, educational, and friendly Holiday spots:

1. D’Kandang Amazing Farm

In Sawangan, an agricultural and livestock area serves as an open learning space for families.

D’Kandang is located on Jalan Penarikan RT 01/02, Pasir Putih Village, Sawangan District.

With the concept "Fresh Food From Farm For Family," visitors can follow the food journey from soil to table, while rebuilding children's connection with nature.

2. Taman Herbal Insani

In Bojongsari, Nature Tourism meets education.

"Learning directly in the open outdoors makes the atmosphere more enjoyable and effective, especially for children," said Eko.

Children can learn about medicinal plants, try traditional games, and experience nature not as a backdrop, but as a learning space.

3. Swimming Pools and Waterparks

For those wanting to move and play in water, Depok offers family-friendly swimming pool choices like Green Lake View Waterpark, Waterpark Ceria, and Putri Duyung Waterpark.

4. Situ Tourism

Depok City has several situ (small lakes) that can be Nataru holiday options, such as Situ Tujuh Muara, Situ Rawa Kalong, Situ Rawa Besar, Situ Cilodong, and others.

The situ in Depok offer a slower-paced holiday alternative. Visitors can simply walk, sit, or gaze at the water.

5. Depok City Alun-alun (Town Square)

As a modern public space, the alun-alun in the GDC area becomes a hub for Family Activities — from sports to play.

6. Albar Park

Albar Park expands the idea of a holiday in a green space, walking on the iconic bridge, and letting time pass more slowly.

Amidst increasing public interest in holidaying near home, the Depok City Government also reminds that comfort must go hand-in-hand with safety.

Therefore, Depok City's Disporyata urges tourism businesses, ranging from hotels, restaurants, cafes, to Tourist Destination managers, to prepare the best services during the Nataru holidays by prioritizing visitor safety, security, and comfort according to standard operating procedures (SOP).
