Manchester United dropped crucial points at home once again. Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim did not hide his disappointment after the Red Devils were held to a 1-1 draw by West Ham United in the 14th week of the 2025/2026 Premier League at Old Trafford on Friday, December 5, 2025.
After waiting nearly an hour, MU took the lead through Diogo Dalot's strike in the 58th minute. However, as in several recent matches, their inability to secure the victory came back to haunt them.
West Ham equalized in the 83rd minute through Soungoutou Magassa's goal, capitalizing on a second-ball situation in the penalty box.

Amorim did not hold back when asked about the result.
"Yes, it is frustrating, it is angering," said Amorim, quoted from the club's official website on Friday.
This draw extended MU's unconvincing trend at Old Trafford. They failed to win for the second consecutive time at home, and the chance to break into the top five was delayed again.
MU now sit eighth with 22 points, just one point behind fifth-placed Crystal Palace, but trail league leaders Arsenal by 11 points.
When asked to explain his team's failure to secure three points, Amorim highlighted the loss of control after Dalot's goal, particularly during second-ball moments dominated by West Ham.
"Maybe after the first goal, we lost a few second balls and Matheus (Cunha) won one or two second balls there and turned it into a transition," explained Amorim.
He added that structurally, MU should have defended better when West Ham played direct football.
"We tried to defend all the time, away from the goal because we knew that. They tried to cross, win corners. As it happened, a long ball, they won the second ball against three of our players in defense. So, we had to play better in the second half," he added.
Despite only one win in their last five matches, Amorim refused to conclude this signals regression.
"If you look at (West Ham's) goal, in the 83rd minute, we conceded from long balls. We controlled everything. We need to play even better," he said.
Next, Bruno Fernandes and his teammates will visit Molineux Stadium to face Wolverhampton Wanderers, who remain winless this season.
The match scheduled for Tuesday, December 9, 2025, represents both an opportunity and a test to return to winning ways.
