In the spirit of welcoming World Tourism Day 2025, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) together with the co-branding partners of Wonderful Indonesia launched an interactive program titled "COBAIN!" (Co-branding Wonderful Indonesia Nanya-nanya!).

This online activity is not just for fun, but also an invitation for the public to actively participate in the sustainable tourism movement.

Kemenparekraf's Deputy for Marketing, Ni Made Ayu Marthini, explained that this initiative is the result of close collaboration between the government and co-branding partners who have consistently supported national tourism growth.

"We are using the momentum of World Tourism Day to invite the public to take part in a tourism movement that is not just about traveling, but also caring for the environment and the future, through more responsible tourism activities," said Made.

Fun Activities, Attractive Prizes, and a Positive Message for Sustainable Tourism

As part of its digital campaign, Kemenparekraf is holding a quiz with total prizes of Rp5 million for 15 lucky winners. It's easy to participate—contestants just need to answer questions on the link in the @pesona.indonesia Instagram account, then repost the "COBAIN!" promotional content using the Story feature.

The quiz runs from September 27th to October 5th, and the winners will be announced on October 6th, 2025, via the same account.
The concept is simple, but the value it carries is significant, urging the public to become smart tourists who contribute to the sustainability of destinations.

Supporting Sustainable Tourism Transformation

Made explained that this activity aligns with the global theme of World Tourism Day 2025, "Tourism and Sustainable Transformation." This concept emphasizes the importance of balancing the enjoyment of traveling with social and environmental responsibility.

Sustainable tourism isn't just about beautiful destinations, but also about how every step a tourist takes can create a positive impact for local communities and preserve nature.

"The small steps we take while traveling can make destinations more sustainable for future generations," said Made.

Cross-Industry Collaboration for a Stronger Indonesian Tourism

Echoing Made, Kemenparekraf's Assistant Deputy for Marketing Strategy and Communication, Firnandi Gufron, added that the COBAIN! program is also a momentum to strengthen synergy between the government, industry players, and the public.

"The program has collaborated with various brands from diverse industries to support the advancement of Indonesian tourism," said Firnandi Gufron.

Through this cross-sector collaboration, Wonderful Indonesia aims to affirm that tourism is not just an entertainment sector, but also an economic pillar capable of creating positive social impacts for many parties—from MSME actors to local communities.

The presence of digital campaigns like COBAIN! exemplifies how technology and creativity can strengthen the spirit of traveling with sustainability values.

This program not only expands promotional reach but also instills the important message that being a responsible tourist is part of a modern lifestyle.

For urbanites and travel enthusiasts, initiatives like this inspire exploring Indonesia in a more meaningful way, not just chasing beautiful scenery, but also leaving behind a legacy of good deeds. (Antara)
