The inclusion of the Indonesian National Football Team in the popular football simulation titles FC 26 and FC Mobile has been met with overwhelming enthusiasm from Garuda supporters. For these fans, the addition of Indonesia to EA Sports' game lineup is far more than just extra content—it represents formal recognition of the growing global attention surrounding the development of domestic Indonesian football.
Starting Thursday, fans will be able to play as the full Indonesian national squad, complete with accurate player likenesses for Jay Idzes, Kevin Diks, Emil Audero, Thom Haye, through to Marselino Ferdinan, all wearing the latest official Kelme kit.
This addition forms part of an official partnership agreement between PSSI via PT Garuda Indonesian Football (GSI) and EA Sports FC.

For Thom Haye, seeing the Indonesian National Team featured in one of the world's largest football video games is an incredibly special milestone. This franchise has long been deeply embedded in the daily lives of both professional players and football supporters.
"Of course, everyone knows EA Sports. Gaming is something nearly everyone enjoys these days. For the fans, being able to access and enjoy a game like this with our national team really means so much," Thom stated during the official launch event held in Jakarta on Thursday.
Persija Jakarta player Witan Sulaeman assessed that the arrival of the Indonesian national team in FC 26 and FC Mobile will further amplify national football euphoria, most notably because supporters will now finally be able to play as their own home country.
"We all know just how incredibly high passion for football runs here in our country. This will have a huge impact especially for national team fans. They can play this EA Sports game now, and they can actually select Indonesia, our own nation, on EA Sports Mobile," Witan explained.
Witan also shared his own habit of playing the game, usually selecting his favourite club FC Barcelona, currently featuring star player Lamine Yamal. He regularly plays casual gaming sessions with Marselino.
"I play against Marsel [Marselino Ferdinan] all the time. Sometimes I wipe the floor with him, sometimes he's the one that beats me," Witan remarked.
Meanwhile, Marselino Ferdinan expressed immense pride at having his likeness included in both FC 26 and FC Mobile. The Oxford United player noted this experience felt uniquely meaningful as he has been a regular player of the FIFA game franchise for many years.
"I'm really happy about this, like I said before I play FIFA all the time. And now that the Indonesian national team is in there too? It's awesome being able to play as yourself sometimes. It also lets people know that Indonesia has a national team featured in the game. This is really exciting for the public, and for Indonesia as a whole," he shared.
Separately, GSI Managing Director Marsal Masita explained that two core factors drove EA Sports' interest in formalising this partnership with PSSI: the massive scale of Indonesia's football gaming market, and the growing international attention earned by the Indonesian national team's recent on-field achievements.
"Yes, there are two main reasons. First is obviously the huge market here. You can observe that the FC Mobile community in Indonesia is far larger compared to many other countries. EA Sports runs the biggest football simulation franchise there is, and football is absolutely core to their product," he detailed.
"The second reason is our performance track record. Over recent years our national team has started to gain genuine global recognition. That is why they selected Indonesia to be added to 'The World's Game' ahead of every other ASEAN nation," he concluded.
