The race for the BRI Super League 2025/2026 championship is heating up as Persib Bandung and Borneo FC continue to pressure each other at the top of the Standings. Both teams now have identical points, ensuring a fierce title battle until the season's end.
Persib Bandung maintains first place in the Week 32 provisional standings with 75 points from 32 matches. The Maung Bandung lead Borneo FC in head-to-head results, securing their top position.
Persib's momentum surged after a crucial 2-1 victory over classic rival Persija Jakarta at Segiri Stadium, Samarinda, on Sunday, May 10. This win provided a major morale boost for the Bandung squad amid the intense title pressure.

Persib vs Borneo FC Competition Heats Up Towards Year-End Super League
Persib initially trailed due to Alaaeddine Ajarie's goal. However, Bojan Hodak's team rallied with two goals from Adam Alis to reverse the outcome.
Persib's euphoria was short-lived. The next day, Borneo FC delivered a decisive response with a dramatic 3-2 victory over Bali United at Kapten I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali, on Monday, May 11.
The Pesut Etam squad demonstrated championship mentality by relentlessly pressing Persib. Two goals from Mariano Peralta and one from Juan Villa secured vital points for Borneo FC.
Meanwhile, Bali United mounted fierce resistance through Teppei Yachida's goal and an own goal from a Borneo player, keeping the match tense until the final minutes.
This victory returned Borneo FC level with Persib Bandung at 75 points from 32 matches. However, Borneo remains second in the provisional standings due to inferior head-to-head results.
Relegation Battle Just as Intense
Not only the title race, but the fight to avoid relegation is also intensifying as the Super League season approaches its conclusion.
Madura United and Persis Solo are both battling to escape the drop zone.
Persis Solo faces the toughest situation. Should Laskar Sambernyawa fail to win in Week 33 of the Super League, they will be relegated from Indonesian Football's top tier.
With two weeks remaining, both the top and bottom of the Super League table promise heated competition until the final match of the season.
