Anthony Sinisuka Ginting underwent an official training session ahead of the 2026 Thomas and Uber Cup. The men's singles mainstay of the Red and White admitted to facing no significant issues while testing the court at Forum Horsens, Denmark.

For Indonesia, the speed of adapting to the arena is a crucial factor before entering the group stage competition.

"So far everything is okay, earlier in training I already found the rhythm despite the limited time," said Ginting in an official PBSI statement.

Previous competition experience in Europe serves as valuable preparation for the 29-year-old player. Ginting has encountered similar atmospheres during the Sudirman Cup and 2021 Thomas and Uber Cup, making the adjustment process quicker.

He assessed that the Horsens arena's characteristics aren't far different from venues he used several years ago. The stadium's smaller size compared to many Asian tournaments actually makes adaptation feel easier.

"Because during the 2021 Sudirman and Thomas Uber Cups, the arena wasn't very large. Unlike tournaments in Asia, so everything's fine," he said.

The Indonesian team utilized the official training session to study the court's characteristics. All players worked on adjusting their game tempo to prepare for the opening match.

In the Women's Doubles sector, Rachel Allessya Rose experienced similar challenges from the moment she tried the court.

"Today we only tested the court briefly, but immediately felt the shuttlecock was quite fast. That's what we must adapt to quickly," said Rachel.

Meanwhile, Rachel's partner Febi Setianingrum confirmed that lighting and wind direction within the arena posed no significant obstacles.

This indicates the team's current focus is entirely on technical readiness and match strategy.

The 4,000-seat Forum Horsens is predicted to deliver a more compact and intense atmosphere. Supporter encouragement is also expected to feel closer compared to larger venues.

In the men's sector, Indonesia will begin their Group D campaign against Algeria on April 24.

After that, the Red and White team faces Thailand on April 26 before closing the group stage against France on April 28.

The squad composition blends experience and regeneration. Besides Ginting and Jonatan Christie in singles, Indonesia also brings young talents like Alwi Farhan and Mohammad Zaki Ubaidillah.

In doubles, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri serve as the primary anchor, supported by the pair Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani and the young duo Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin.
