Amidst the shift in how people Travel—from merely seeing to experiencing—Indonesia is gradually asserting itself as a destination to rediscover balance. Indonesia features Bali, Yogyakarta, and Solo as Tourist Destinations for wellness (Wellness Tourism).

Wellness Tourism has evolved into a travel approach combining physical health, inner peace, and Cultural Experiences. The Indonesian government views this potential as a key to tourism's future.

"We from the Ministry of Tourism have included wellness tourism in our priority programs," stated Deputy Minister of Tourism Ni Luh Puspa.

The government continues to promote more events strengthening this ecosystem, such as the Saka Yoga Festival as part of national spiritual celebrations.

Here, yoga transcends physical activity, serving as a bridge to deeper spiritual tourism.

"Hopefully such activities can multiply across Indonesia, solidifying our position as a wellness and spiritual tourism destination—a growing global trend," Ni Luh expressed.

Meanwhile, Suyadi Pawiro, Deputy for Sports Industry Development at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, emphasized expanding such initiatives nationwide.

"We aim to encourage more yoga events and competitions in diverse locations. I recall yoga sessions even being held at the National Museum," he noted.

Moving forward, Indonesia seeks recognition not just for stunning landscapes but as a sanctuary for rejuvenating body, mind, and spirit. Bali, Yogyakarta, and Solo mark only the start of a longer journey toward purposeful tourism.
