Ahead of Match vs St. Kitts & Nevis in FIFA Series, Indonesian National Team Focuses on Tactical Aspects

Indonesian National Team Coach, John Herdman is beginning to leave his initial mark with Garuda by conducting intensive training sessions ahead of FIFA Series 2026. During the two-hour session at Madya GBK Stadium, Herdman tested the readiness of the Garuda Squad for the match against St. Kitts & Nevis.

The English coach wasted no time. With a packed schedule, the primary focus of training was directed toward tactical understanding and game organization.

"We worked tactically today. Time is very short," he stated. 

Herdman also emphasized the players' mentality and pride when wearing the Red and White jersey.

“I now feel the intensity and pride these players have in representing Indonesia,” Herdman said.

That statement reflects Herdman's first impression of the team atmosphere. He sees the players' fighting spirit as the main foundation to drive on-field performance, while also serving as an attraction for other players to join.
