Held at GBK Stadium Jakarta, Complete Schedule and Format of FIFA Series 2026

Indonesia will host the FIFA Series 2026 from March 27-30, 2026. PSSI (Football Association of Indonesia) through the Chairman of the National Team Board (BTN), Sumardji, confirmed all matches will be played at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) in Jakarta.

"(At) GBK (Gelora Bung Karno)," stated Sumardji when contacted by Antara on Thursday.

This confirmation ensures the FIFA Series 2026 will be held at Indonesia's largest and most iconic stadium. 

Indonesia will host three countries from different confederations. These countries are Bulgaria (UEFA), Solomon Islands (OFC), and Saint Kitts & Nevis (CONCACAF).

This international friendly tournament between countries from various confederations will feature a knockout format, starting with the semifinals, followed by a third-place playoff, and the final match.

On a previous occasion, Sumardji stated that Indonesia (world ranking 122) will face Saint Kitts and Nevis (world ranking 154) in semifinal 1 of the FIFA Series 2026 on Friday, March 27, at 20:00 WIB.

This match will be played after the conclusion of semifinal 2, which pits Bulgaria against the Solomon Islands at 15:30 WIB.

Subsequently, the winners of the semifinal matches will meet in the final on March 30 at 20:00 WIB. Meanwhile, the two teams losing in the semifinals will play for third place on the same day at 15:30 WIB.

With a tight schedule and a direct knockout format, player rotation and physical readiness will be key.

John Herdman's Debut at SUGBK

The FIFA Series 2026 also holds another significant dimension. The tournament marks the debut match for Indonesia's New Coach. John Herdman was officially introduced on January 13, 2026.

Making his debut at home, in front of tens of thousands of SUGBK supporters, presents both pressure and opportunity. 

This tournament will be the initial benchmark for the new direction of the Indonesian National Team under Herdman's control.

Following the FIFA Series 2026, Indonesia is scheduled to play several matches in FIFA Match Days and the ASEAN Cup (AFF Cup) later this year.

This means the FIFA Series isn't just a March agenda. It serves as the foundation for Indonesia's international calendar throughout 2026.
