Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) is preparing to become one of the most vibrant destinations during the 2026 Lunar New Year celebrations. Through a series of events titled "Journey of Lunar New Year", the PIK Tourism Board presents a thematic tourism experience blending Chinese tradition, Indonesian Culture, and an Urban Lifestyle appealing to the Younger Generation.

This program is not just a seasonal celebration, but part of PIK's long-term strategy to strengthen its position as a national and international Tourist Destination. The thematic journey concept invites visitors to explore various iconic PIK spots, each offering a distinct Lunar New Year ambiance.

"Journey of Lunar New Year" also aligns with the government-initiated national campaign, Harmony of the Archipelago Lunar New Year, and coincides with the launch of the 2026 National Lunar New Year Logo. This logo features a visual of a Jaran Kepang (Javanese woven horse dance) adorned with batik ornaments, symbolizing resilience, togetherness, and the inclusive identity of Indonesian Culture.

For travelers, this means Lunar New Year in PIK is not just about decorations and entertainment, but also a story of cultural acculturation packaged in a modern way. From barongsai and liong performances, cultural parades, to seaside lifestyle events, everything is designed to create a personal and memorable experience.

Head of Tourism Development Center Agung Sedayu Group, Fenny Maria, emphasized that the integration of culture and tourism is the DNA of PIK as a world-class destination.

"Through 'Journey of Lunar New Year', we aim to present PIK as a thematic Tourist Destination that elevates traditional values through creative approaches relevant to the present. This initiative also aligns with the national agenda of the 'Archipelago Lunar New Year' campaign initiated by the government, as part of efforts to strengthen Creative Economy and culture-based tourism. We focus on creating experiences that touch visitors' emotions, so every moment in PIK becomes a journey towards a hopeful future," stated Fenny Maria on Saturday, February 7, 2026.

The series of "Journey of Lunar New Year" activities are spread across various PIK landmarks such as PIK Avenue, Pantjoran PIK, Aloha, Land’s End, Batavia PIK, and Sunset Pier. Barongsai and liong attractions blend with parades of fortune deities like Cai Shen Ye and Fu Lu Shou, creating a festive atmosphere that remains family-friendly and welcoming to solo travelers.

The excitement is further enhanced with oriental music performances, guzheng, fashion shows, and costume competitions. For travelers seeking a relaxed experience, lifestyle events like sunset music entertainment, Lunar New Year culinary offerings, and thematic stay programs complement the journey.

Throughout February, the 2026 National Lunar New Year Logo is applied in various area decorations, reinforcing the synergy between PIK management and the national spirit in promoting tolerance and intercultural dialogue. Complete event schedule details can be accessed via the official PIK Tourism Board calendar.

With this approach, PIK not only offers a celebration but also presents a cultural Travel Experience relevant to the lifestyle of today's travelers.
