Real Madrid suffered a defeat during their visit to Osasuna's home ground in the continuation of the La Liga 2025/2026 Season. Competing at El Sadar Stadium early Sunday morning WIB, Los Blancos succumbed with a 1-2 score in a tightly contested match that lasted until the final minutes.

Quoted from the La Liga page, Osasuna opened the scoring through an Ante Budimir penalty goal (38') before Vinicius Junior equalized in the 73rd minute. The home team secured victory in the 90th minute via Raul Garcia's goal.

This defeat threatens Real Madrid's position at the top of the Standings. Madrid now has 60 points, leading by two points over Barcelona who will face Levante on Sunday (22/2) night. Should their rival win, the competition for the top spot will intensify.

Meanwhile, the additional three points lift Osasuna to ninth place in the standings with 33 points.

From the start of the match, Osasuna applied pressure. The first opportunity came through Ante Budimir's curling shot that narrowly went wide. The Croatian striker threatened again with a header that momentarily deceived Thibaut Courtois, but the ball only struck the post.

The opening goal finally came after Courtois fouled Budimir inside the penalty area. The referee pointed to the spot, and Budimir successfully executed his duty as executioner with a flat shot that wrong-footed Courtois. Osasuna's 1-0 lead held until halftime.

Entering the second half, Real Madrid increased their attacking tempo. Arda Güler nearly scored with a powerful strike from outside the box, but the ball sailed just over the crossbar.

Madrid's efforts paid off in the 73rd minute. Federico Valverde delivered an accurate cross from the left flank, met directly by Vinicius Junior's close-range header. The score leveled at 1-1, opening up the game further.

Los Blancos continued to storm the hosts' defense. Kylian Mbappé received a golden opportunity from point-blank range, but his shot was blocked by Osasuna's defensive line.

As the match seemed destined for a draw, Osasuna instead scored the decisive goal in the 90th minute. Substitute Raul Garcia received the ball before driving into the penalty area. He deceived Carreras and unleashed a right-footed shot into the far corner beyond Courtois' reach.

That goal sealed Osasuna's 2-1 victory at the final whistle, simultaneously intensifying the battle for La Liga's top positions.
