Persija Jakarta is sending serious signals in the hunt for the BRI Super League 2025/2026 title. The Kemayoran Tigers demonstrated their seriousness by recruiting Alaeddine Ajaraie and Fajar Fathurrahman during the mid-season transfer window.

Alaeddine Ajaraie arrives on loan from Indian League club NorthEast United until the end of the season.

"Currently, Persija is my home. I will fight wholeheartedly for Persija, work hard to adapt as quickly as possible and make a real contribution. God willing, we will move forward together, creating victory after victory, until we end this season as champions," said Alaeddine in a written statement on Friday.

Alaeddine was the top scorer in the 2024/2025 Indian League season, with 23 goals and seven assists. This season, he is still maintaining his sharpness with 10 goals and five assists from nine matches in two different competitions with NorthEast United.

With continental experience from Morocco, Qatar, to India, Alaeddine's arrival is not just about a finisher, but he is also expected to make an immediate impact.

"Alaeddine was brought in to make us stronger and sharper. We are very serious about moving into the second round of the Super League. Not just with narratives, but with proof through evaluating the team composition. We hope to end the season with a happy smile, as champions," said Persija Director, Mohamad Prapanca.

If the Moroccan striker is the answer upfront, Fajar Fathurrahman brings balance and aggression from the flank. The 23-year-old wing-back is Persija's first signing in the second round, after more than five years defending Borneo FC.

"He brings experience and quality ready to realize Persija's targets. Recruiting Fajar is not without reason. Currently, Fajar is one of the best wing-backs Indonesia has," wrote Persija's official statement, quoted on Thursday.

Fajar is not just a potential young player. With 136 appearances for The Etam Orcas, he brings experience, consistency, and productivity.

This season, he has started 14 out of 17 Super League matches and contributed one assist. Ironically, that assist was created when Borneo FC defeated Persija at Segiri Stadium.

At the domestic level, Fajar's track record is impressive. He became Best Young Player of Liga 1 2023/2024, Best Young Player of the 2022 President's Cup, and was part of the Indonesia U-23 squad that won gold at the 2023 SEA Games.

Fajar is an experienced modern wing-back with a Champion's mentality, capable of supporting attacks while maintaining defensive solidity.

"Persija looks at the second round with demands to perform more maturely and competitively. Fajar's presence is part of the club's concrete steps in pursuing the set targets," said Prapanca.

With Alaeddine on the front line and Fajar in the wide areas, Persija now has additional ammunition in their pursuit of the championship title.
