Persib Bandung will definitely be without striker Andrew Jung when they host Persija Jakarta in the Super League continuation at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Bandung, Sunday January 11, 2026. Jung's absence doesn't worry coach Bojan Hodak.

Quoted from Persib's official website, coach Persib Bandung Bojan Hodak confirmed Jung's absence. According to Hodak, Jung is forced to miss this crucial match against Persija due to Injury.

"Jung has a hamstring issue but it's not a serious injury. He can't play. He'll only be available for the next match," said Bojan.

Despite losing Jung, Bojan isn't concerned because several previously absent and injured players are available again for the Persija match.

The Croatian coach emphasized his squad's strength is complete across all lines with Beckham Putra Nugraha, Teja Paku Alam, Federico Barba, Marc Klok and Eliano Reijnders all ready to play.

On the other hand, Bojan also respects Persija. He added that Persija comes to Bandung with quality and significant investment. This match will be a real test for Persib.

"They have a better squad this season and bought many new players. They invested heavily in recruiting players. I think this will be a great match and I hope we can get a positive result," Bojan stated.

Persib is trying to return to winning ways after only drawing against Persik in the previous week. With just one additional point, Maung Bandung lost momentum to closely chase the top of the Standings.

Currently Persib sits in third place in the temporary Standings with 35 points from 16 matches, trailing second-placed Persija on goal difference.
