Christian Pulisic Leads the Attack Line, United States Squad Roster for the 2026 World Cup

Coach Mauricio Pochettino has announced the final United States squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals. This announcement confirms the United States' commitment to building a competitive squad under the leadership of the Argentine head coach.

Via his X account on Wednesday, Pochettino called up 26 players to represent United States at football's largest global tournament. Experienced players remain the core foundation for the team competing on home soil. 

All main attention falls on Christian Pulisic, who will lead the United States forward line. The AC Milan striker is expected to carry his team to a deep tournament run at the 2026 World Cup.

Alongside Pulisic, Pochettino also called up other key players including Tyler Adams, Weston McKennie and Giovanni Reyna. This combination of experience and Youthful energy forms the primary strength of the United States squad.

In the defensive sector, Sergino Dest returns to the squad after dealing with fitness issues over recent months. His presence adds attacking creativity from the wing positions while also strengthening the US backline.

The United States will also continue to rely on senior players Tim Ream and Matt Turner to maintain team stability. Their international level experience is considered critical to handle the pressure of a tournament as big as the World Cup.

Up front, Pochettino has selected an interesting combination with the inclusion of Folarin Balogun, Ricardo Pepi and Haji Wright. All three players are expected to provide tactical variation and consistent goalscoring output.

The United States have been drawn in Group D alongside Australia, Paraguay and Turkey. This group is predicted to be tightly contested as every competing team has a distinct playing style.
