New Season of JGS Indonesia Begins, 16 Tournaments Ready to Produce Young Golf Stars.

The Junior golf Series (JGS) Indonesia officially opened its 2026 competition season through a press conference held at Royale Jakarta Golf Club, Jakarta, Saturday, April 18, 2026. This launch marks a strategic step in advancing national junior golf development towards the international stage.

JGS Indonesia presents a structured competition system that not only focuses on tournaments but also builds a sustainable coaching ecosystem for young athletes. This system is designed to connect directly with various junior golf championships across Asia and globally.

As part of The Junior Golf Series network already established in Thailand, Indonesia, and Korea, JGS Indonesia brings international competition standards to the coaching of young domestic athletes. This platform also opens access to over 12 countries within the junior golf career development pathway.

Throughout the 2026 season, JGS Indonesia will hold a total of 16 tournaments. All competitions are integrated into a performance-based Point Race System. Each athlete will accumulate points to determine national rankings and unlock Qualification Opportunities for the international level.

The competition climax will conclude with the Indonesian Junior Masters 2026. This event will serve as the primary selection to determine the 16 best Indonesian Junior Golfers who will represent the country at the Asian Junior Masters, one of Asia's most prestigious tournaments for the junior category.

Through this system, athletes also have the opportunity to compete in various international tournaments such as the Singapore Junior Masters, Thailand Junior Masters, Taiwan Junior Open, JGS Korea Championship, and the NextGen Amateur Tour in Australia.

This season's press conference was attended by approximately 120 participants, including junior athletes, parents, national media, and the golf community. This high level of participation reflects the growing interest in early-age golf development in Indonesia.

"JGS Indonesia is not just organizing tournaments, but building a structured and sustainable coaching system. We want to pave the way for Indonesian athletes to compete at the international level," said Rido Nurul Adityawan, General Chairman of JGS Indonesia.

Support for junior golf development also comes from PT. Intra GolfLink Resorts, Tbk (PT IGR) as the sponsor of the JGS Indonesia event. Agus Herwinoto, General Manager of Golflink Group, emphasized that this event holds value beyond just competition.

"The Junior Golf Series activities are not merely a competition but also a vessel for character building and nurturing the Young Generation," he explained.

"The essence is educating their mental strength (junior Golf Athletes) to be able to compete in such fierce competition," he added.

As a form of tangible commitment, PT IGR stated its readiness to facilitate the organization of JGS Indonesia events through several Golf Courses they manage. Three premier locations prepared include among others Blackrocks Golf Club in Belitung, new kuta golf in bali, and Palm Hill Golf Club in the Sentul area, Bogor.

The presence of these facilities is expected to provide a high-standard competition experience while expanding the tournament's reach to various premier golf destinations in Indonesia.

With a system-based approach, global standards, and a clear competition pathway, JGS Indonesia aims to position itself as the primary platform for producing the next generation of Indonesian Golfers ready to compete on the world stage.
